The task was to create a drone-like shot with the camera moving fast ashore, away from the model and revealing a polluted sea full of plastic.
I started from a pano taken on set. I then color corrected it to match the mood chosen by the director. Matte painted new coasts and the gulf line where the original horizon was and split it all into layers.
The guys from Blue Pill FX created the wonderful 3D sea and composited my matte painting making it seam like a drone had flown away at crazy speed recording the whole scene.
